Don Downs-Woodcrafter is really us, the Downs and Stogner family residing at 12136-12140 Ellerbe Road, Shreveport, La. for thirty years. The business grew out of Don's hobby of woodworking. For the past several years it has grown into a successful business under the managerial abilities of daughter Camille and the woodworking skills of her husband, Jerry, who is a stickler for quality. He personally selects the wood that goes into each bed. He also inspects every bed before it is shipped. You no doubt have noticed that the grandchildren Austin, Savannah, and Colin are the photo models for the beds shown.

The overriding priority of the business is to produce a bed that is, above all, sturdy, attractive, and safe.

We do not believe that the equal of our beds with these qualities can be readily found in furniture retail stores. We know from personal family experience that kids like bunk beds! Bunk Beds also solve space issues for families with multiple children. For this reason our emphasis is building safety and strength into all of our beds. All of our beds are built the "old fashioned way", one at a time. We use knotty Southern Yellow Pine that is second only to oak in hardness and durability and has a very attractive wood grain.

We guarantee that you will be completely satisfied with your bed. Should any shipping damage occur we will replace, free of charge, any damaged item.
